Supporting Transparency in Cost of Attendance Information

Mary Parker, Vice President and Chief Enrollment Strategist

Dear Colleagues,

At the University of Florida, we are committed to creating an environment where students and their families feel informed, supported, and confident in their educational choices. An important element of that commitment is ensuring transparency in how we communicate cost information.

As a Title IV-eligible institution, we are required to provide clear and accessible information about tuition, fees, and other associated costs to both current and prospective students. Costs for undergraduate and graduate programs can be found on the university’s financial aid website: https://www.sfa.ufl.edu/cost/. Professional and self-funded programs should ensure their cost information is published and easily accessible on their specific websites.

To maintain our high standards of excellence, I encourage everyone to:

  • Make Information Accessible: Ensure that cost information is up-to-date and easy to find on your program’s webpages and in materials shared with students.
  • Remove Barriers: Provide information freely without requiring personal details or additional steps, so students can focus on making informed decisions.
  • Empower Staff: Ensure your teams know how to direct students and families to the appropriate publicly available cost information.

By working together, we continue to position the University of Florida as a leader in student-centered service. Your efforts in this area are vital to helping students feel secure in their decision to join our community.

Thank you for your dedication to supporting our students and their success. If you have any questions or need further guidance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Tina Lamb, Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships, at cjlamb@ufl.edu.
