Updates to leadership titles

Kent Fuchs, Interim President

Dear Colleagues,

As an acknowledgement of their contributions to the University of Florida and to enable them to be even more effective in their leadership roles, the “Interim” designation has been removed from the position titles of Maria Gutierrez Martin and Brandi Renton.

Martin has served as Interim Vice President of UF Advancement and Interim Executive Vice President for the UF Foundation since March 2023 and Renton has served as Interim Vice President for Business Affairs since August 2024.  

Also, as an acknowledgement of the responsibilities of the positions and to create parity with similar positions at other universities, the Senior Vice President for Health Affairs title has been changed to Executive Vice President for Health Affairs and the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs title has been changed to Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs.
