Superior Accomplishment Awards nominations due Oct. 23
Melissa Curry, Vice President for Human Resources
I am pleased to share that nominations for the University of Florida’s 38th annual Superior Accomplishment Awards are due Friday, Oct. 23. The Superior Accomplishment Awards, or SAA, program honors those who consistently demonstrate dedication, commitment to excellence and a willingness to go above and beyond in advancing the missions of UF and UF Health.
Coordinated by UF Human Resources on behalf of UF’s President, the SAA is a prestigious and longstanding program that reflects the university’s commitment to recognizing and celebrating the exceptional contributions of faculty and staff.
Nominations will be accepted now through Friday, Oct. 23, and may be submitted via the SAA Nomination Form.
Each year, the awards shine a spotlight on individuals and teams whose contributions made a meaningful difference during the previous fiscal year — July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026.
Division-level winners will receive a cash award, certificate of appreciation and a UF keepsake. These honorees will also be considered for university-level recognition, including nine cash awards and six special recognition awards, to be presented at the university-wide ceremony held in April 2027.
You are encouraged to nominate individuals or teams in one of the following categories:
- Employee Performance: Recognizing exceptional individual contributions made during the most recent fiscal year.
- Rookie of the Year: Honoring new employees who have quickly made a positive and measurable impact. Nominees must have been employed at UF for fewer than two years and successfully completed their probationary period.
- Team Collaboration: Celebrating teams of up to six members whose collaboration has led to significant results.
- Sustained Excellence: Recognizing an employee for a project or initiative that has demonstrated exceptional impact, success and continued excellence over a period of at least five years. Nominees must not have received this award during that period.

Thank you for helping us celebrate and honor the exceptional people who make UF a great place to work and learn.
