Standard (A) Class Bulk-Rate Mail can be used when mailing identical printed or duplicated material to 200 or more individual addresses. The mail pieces must meet specific guidelines and must be presorted by zip code to be accepted at the bulk mail rate. No single pieces of mail can be sent using the bulk permit stamp.

The U.S. Postal Service has notified us of several instances recently where bulk mail permit stamped mail has been placed in the U.S. Postal Service mail containers. Bulk mail must be delivered to Campus Mail Services, Building 34 (behind Space Science Research Building) or to a presort vendor. The U.S. Postal Service has notified us that they will charge First Class Rate for returning these mail pieces to the University of Florida Campus Mail Services. In turn, the responsible departments will be charged for this expense.

Please inform all areas preparing bulk mail of the potential problem and expense that departments will incur when incorrectly processing mail. Campus Mail Services can be reached at 392-0695. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of any assistance or provide any additional information.
