New Area Code for Florida Panhandle

Please be advised that as of March 23, 1998, you must dial the new area code (850) for numbers in the Florida panhandle. Remember that all preprogrammed telecommunications equipment must be updated. Please refer to the attached document to verify the counties affected by the change.
