Appointment of Ruth Harris as Assistant Controller

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Ruth Harris to the position of Assistant Controller for University Financial Services. In this position she will be responsible for oversight of the University cashier and banking operations, student aid disbursements, student accounts receivable, and student collections.

Ruth brings valuable experience and knowledge of the operations of University Financial Services to the Assistant Controller position. She has been employed in Finance and Accounting Division for the past nine years. Most recently she supervised the financial aid accounting, disbursements, and collections areas of University Financial Services at Criser Hall. During her tenure she has assisted with the implementation of the Federal Direct Lending Program and Student Financial Aid ACH/EFT Direct Deposits. She has also completed the College Business Management Institute. Ruth’s appointment will provide a meaningful continuity for University Financial Services’ commitment to service to students and University departments.
