1999 Multicultural Recognition Program

The annual Minority/Multicultural Student Recognition Program is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 1999 in the Reitz Union Ballroom. We are organizing this event to recognize outstanding minority students who have excelled in scholarly pursuits and leadership.

We are asking that you select student(s) for this award, that your office provide plaque(s) and/or certificate(s) and that a representative from your department, college or organization be present to recognize the student(s) from your area at the April reception. We will provide each recipient with a souvenir program listing all the recipients and their accomplishments, and we are asking each sponsoring department, college or organization to provide the plaque and/or certificates for their honorees.

Please forward your selection including a description (no more than 100 words) of each student’s accomplishments to Jeannette Carlisle, Dean of Students Office, P202 Peabody Hall by our publication deadline of Friday, March 19.

Also, please note that we are considering a change in format for this year’s event. One possibility is simultaneous award programs with a joint reception. We’ll keep you informed.
