STUDY ABROAD FAIR

The University of Florida International Center is hosting an Overseas Studies Fair on Wednesday, November 17th between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Faculty advisors from UF programs, students who have recently studied abroad, and program representatives from more than twenty universities and institutions will be on hand to answer questions and provide information concerning study abroad opportunities. Please help us spread word of the fair as we are working hard to encourage our UF students to include a strong international dimension in their education.

J-1 WORKSHOPS

The UF International Center’s International Faculty & Scholar Services will conduct J-1 Workshops to share with departmental staff and faculty specifics of the J-1 Exchange Visitor Program for research scholars, professors, and short-term scholars.

Three sessions will be conducted in Room 282 of the JWRU:

Tuesday, December 7, 9-11 AM
Wednesday, December 8, 9-11 AM
Wednesday, December 8, 2-4 PM

J-1 research scholars, professors, and short-term scholars are international professionals from abroad, who are invited to the university to conduct research, teach, observe, or consult on a temporary basis. Departments that use or wish to use the J-1 program to bring international scholars to the campus are urged to send a representative to one of the sessions. All interested faculty and staff are invited to attend.
