Charles E. Frazier, Vice Provost

The Office of the Provost is sponsoring the Information Technology Security Awareness (ITSA) Day. The day-long program will feature local and national speakers who will share a variety of practical guidelines that can help improve the security of your information resources. Program activities begin at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2000 in the J. Wayne Reitz Union Auditorium.

Our hope is that each department, center and college office will send its network administrators and other technical personnel to this event. Anyone else involved in making IT decisions may also benefit form this program.

The open systems philosophy of university networks makes them particularly vulnerable. ITSA day speakers will address critical issues surrounding the protection of your systems and data.

For more information, including a full schedule of speakers, visit the ITSA web site at: http://www.itsa.ufl.edu/

Please encourage your personnel to attend.
