Staff Changes

Gail F. Baker, Vice President

The Office of Public Relations has been reorganized to meet the current and future communications needs of the University of Florida.

Assistant Vice President Linda Gray will serve as Director of Special Projects for the Office of Public Relations. Her duties will include community relations activities, campus communications audits and an on-going analysis of campus communication infrastructure.

Frank Ahern, currently associate director of News and Public Affairs (NAPA), will serve as acting director. Steve Orlando, now News Desk editor and assistant director of NAPA, will be acting associate director.

A national search will begin immediately for both the director and associate director of NAPA. The new director will also be responsible for developing and implementing a national media coverage strategy for the university. In addition, we will be searching for a community relations coordinator.
