Faculty Fellow in Sustainability

The Office of the Provost is pleased to announce that the Provost Faculty Fellow Program will host a Faculty Fellow in Sustainability beginning in the Fall 2006 semester. The successful applicant will be responsible for fostering curricular and research development and systematic outreach appropriate for a land-grant institution in ways that enhance the university’s leadership in environmental, social, and economic sustainability.

During his/her anticipate 1-2 year term, the Faculty Fellow in Sustainability will stimulate initiatives in teaching, research, and outreach, and work in concert with the Director of the Office of Sustainability. Release time from teaching is negotiable. The Fellow in Sustainability will have access to up to $50,000 in funding per year for seed grants and other program initiatives.

Faculty at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor are encouraged to submit a two-page, double-spaced statement of interest and a brief curriculum vita by April 13, 2006 to the Office of the Provost, Attention: Cheryl Gater, PO Box 113175, 235 Tigert Hall.
