The Lakes, Vegetation and Landscaping Committee and Student Government are pleased to announce a mini-grant program for the University’s main campus Conservation Areas. These grants are available to students groups, faculty and departments to provide restoration and enhancement projects in the campus Conservation Areas that comprise over 400 acres of the University’s significant forests, wetlands and water bodies. This grant will be administered by a subcommittee of the Lakes, Vegetation and Landscaping Committee that will award grants up to $20,000 for projects that benefit the University’s Conservation Areas. The total amount of funding available is $200,000. The subcommittee will begin reviewing and awarding the mini-grants starting after March 1, 2007; however, the grant cycle will remain open until all funds are allocated.
