With the recent announcement of Vice President for Development and Alumni Affairs Paul Robell’s retirement plans and in preparation for new leadership for the Foundation, I am initiating an operational review of the Foundation and Alumni Affairs. I have asked Kyle Cavanaugh, Senior Vice President for Administration, to facilitate the review with the assistance of Kathy Long, Dean of Nursing and Chair of the Deans’ Development Oversight Committee, and Brian Beach, Special Assistant to the President.

The review will address organizational structure and operational processes and set the stage for our upcoming leadership transition. Currently our Foundation is working very well; however, the upcoming leadership transition provides a natural opportunity to validate what we are doing well and what changes, if any, we need to consider.

I will keep you informed of the group’s progress, but I wanted you to be aware of this important initiative.
