The University of Florida has initiated a search for its first Information Security Officer (UF official title is Senior Director of Information Technology).  The success of this important search will depend on the quality of candidates in the pool. To assist with the quality of the applicant pool the faculty, staff and university community have an opportunity to submit nominations of qualified individuals.

The Information Security Officer (ISO) provides strategic leadership, analysis, planning, and recommendations related to the security of the University’s information assets. The role of the ISO spans the entire University of Florida enterprise, including Direct Support Organizations and Affiliates. The ISO exercises enterprise-wide authority for compliance with University information security policies consistent with applicable industry standards and governmental regulations.
