Spring 2014 Commencement Information

Ceremonies: This spring, there will be a total of 16 commencement ceremonies held on the UF Campus. Included in the ceremonies are the Doctoral Degree Ceremony (all Ph.D., Ed.D., Au.D., D.P.M., D.P.T.), 4:00pm, Friday, April 25, 2014; a Masters and Specialist Degree Ceremony (for the following colleges only: Public Health and Health Professions, Liberal Arts and Sciences, Education, Fine Arts, Journalism and Communications, Medicine, Business Administration, and Health and Human Performance), 4:00pm Friday, May 2, 2014; and two multi-college Undergraduate Degree Ceremonies (for the following colleges only: Public Health and Health Professions, Education, Business Administration, Fine Arts, Journalism and Communications and Health and Human Performance), 9:00am and 2:00pm, Saturday, May 3, 2014. All of these ceremonies will be held in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center. In addition to the multi-college ceremonies mentioned above, there are numerous individual college ceremonies for bachelor/masters/specialist degree ceremonies and professional degree candidates.

Ordering Regalia: Regalia orders will be accepted through Friday, February 28, 2014. Information on ordering regalia is available from the UF Bookstore (392-0194). An order form may be found at http://www.registrar.ufl.edu/commencement/ under the heading, Instructions for Faculty Escorts. Payment is required when placing an order. Formal academic regalia is required for all faculty members attending commencement.
Faculty Escorts: Candidates for the Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Education and Doctor of Plant Medicine degrees will be assigned an official commencement escort. Faculty designated as escorts will receive an e-mail from the Office of the President with further details about responsibilities, assembly times and hooding instructions. This e-mail is generally sent two weeks prior to commencement. However, if you have a graduate student scheduled to graduate during the spring semester, please order your regalia on or before the February 28th deadline
