The textbook adoption system for Summer 2014 is now available to faculty and departments to submit their Summer 2014 textbook adoptions and course materials requirements. Please visit http://www.textadoption.ufl.edu/ to enter in Summer

2014 adoption information. The deadline for summer and fall adoption information is March 24, 2014, when this information is available to students during advance registration. This information is also available online to all bookstores to help them ensure appropriate arrival of texts and better prices for student book buybacks. The textbook adoption system for Fall 2014 will be available at a later date.

Students can view Summer and Fall course textbook and course materials requirements online during advance registration, which begins March 24, 2014. This information helps students balance their course loads based on reading requirements and plan for their financial needs, including the purchasing of books. Timely entry of this information also provides students their best opportunity to sell books back at higher prices. Bookstores typically will not offer to buy back texts unless the text is listed as being used the next semester.

Timely posting of textbook requirements has the strong support of the student body, and it is a requirement in Florida Statutes. UF students continue to endorse the availability of textbook information online and have indicated it aids in course selection.

For compliance-monitoring purposes, the final deadline date to submit text adoptions for Summer and Fall courses is April 1, 2014.

If you have any questions about the textbook adoption submission process, please contact the textbook adoption Web site administrator at 392-1134, ext. 41 or email:
