Professor Janelle will replace Michael Sagas, professor and interim chair of the Department of Sport Management in the College of Health and Human Performance, who has served in the position since 2011.  I am particularly grateful to Professor Sagas for his exceptional and important service on behalf of UF and our student athletes in his role as FAR the past ten years.

The university’s FAR works with the President, Provost’s office, and the University Athletic Association to provide oversight of the academic integrity of the athletics program and to serve as an advocate for student athlete well-being.  The FAR also represents UF’s faculty in the university’s relationship with the NCAA and SEC.
