Web Accessibility Updates – Compliance Deadline Extended

Thank you all for the incredible progress already made toward compliance with federal digital accessibility standards.

UF’s federal compliance deadline has been extended to April 26, 2027, as a result of the Department of Justice’s unpublished interim final rule (IFR) announced this morning. This IFR extends the compliance deadlines included in the expanded regulations under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

While this extension provides the university with more time, the urgency and importance of this work are unchanged. We strongly urge you to remain diligent and continue all efforts toward compliance. Please continue to visit the ADA and Title II at UF website for updates and resources.
