Appointment of Assistant Vice President and Director of Contracts & Grants Accounting

Dr. David Norton, Vice President for Research

It is my pleasure to announce that Ms. Tiffany Schmidt has been appointed to the position of Assistant Vice President and Director of Contracts & Grants Accounting within the Office of Research. Since February of 2017, Ms. Schmidt has served as the Interim Director of this unit. From 2010 to 2017, Tiffany served as Associate Director of Contract & Grants Accounting. Prior to that, she served in the contracts & grants office of the College of Engineering. Tiffany has worked in various financial services roles for the University of Florida since 1998. She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1997 from the Florida Institute of Technology.

As Assistant Vice President and Director, Ms. Schmidt is charged with the leadership and management of the Division of Contracts & Grants Accounting whose mission is to oversee and support all post-award financial functions for sponsored and related projects, providing exceptional research support services, while protecting the University’s interests in an efficient and responsible manner.
