Superior Accomplishment Awards Program Nomination Period Runs through October 31

Jodi Gentry, Vice President for Human Resources

I am pleased to announce a call for nominations for the University of Florida’s Superior Accomplishment Awards program. The purpose of the program, now in its 30th year, is to recognize Academic Personnel, TEAMS and USPS employees who have contributed outstanding service in their fields during the academic year of August 1, 2017, to July 31, 2018.

I hope you will take this opportunity to recognize those among us who make the extra effort to contribute. This year’s nomination period opened September 10 and runs through October 31.

Division-level Superior Accomplishment Award-winners will receive $200 along with a certificate of appreciation and university memento. Division-level winners are then eligible for one of eight university-level awards of $2,000 each and one of eight $1,000 awards sponsored by The Gabor Agency and The Standard. Each of the top eight university-level winners and his or her guest also will be invited to attend a University of Florida football game in the President’s Box next season.

A division award committee is responsible for the nomination processes and for winner selections in each division. Self-nominations are not accepted. Additional information about the Superior Accomplishment Awards program — including division information, nomination criteria and nomination forms — may be found on the UFHR website at https://learn-and-grow.hr.ufl.edu/awards-recognition.
