Beginning today, the University of Florida will enter Phase 3 of its efforts to screen and provide access to the UF workplace for our faculty and staff, under the auspices of UF Health Screen, Test & Protect. To date, more than 15,000 faculty and staff have completed the screening process, and over the next two weeks those who have yet to complete the required screenings will be asked to do so, even if they are not planning to be on site until later this summer.

In order to ensure all faculty and staff have an opportunity to participate in testing, it is critical for everyone to complete the UF Health COVID-19 Screening Questionnaire within 48 hours of receiving an email from UF Human Resources prompting them to do so. Please help to ensure members of your college or department are keeping an eye on their email so they do not miss these important communications and that they respond to them promptly.

We have a number of resources available to support you through this process on our Working Through COVID-19 website at https://hr.ufl.edu/covid-19/screening-and-return-to-campus/, including:

  • UF’s Institutional Recovery and COVID-19 Return the Workplace Policy
  • What to expect in the screening and testing process
  • Answers to frequently asked questions
  • Guidelines for cubicles and shared workspaces
  • Downloadable building signage
  • Information for leaders, including a Return to Workplace Matrix with a variety of scenarios and responses

We will continue to add more information and resources to this website as more information about our reopening plan is finalized following the June 23 Board of Governors meeting.

Our UF community has demonstrated time and again its unified commitment to care for one another throughout challenging times. As we work together to return our operations to their fullest potential, it is up to all of us to do our part, both individually and collectively, to ensure our fellow faculty, staff and students remain as healthy, vibrant and engaged as possible.

If you have questions about this process or we can be of further assistance, please email us at UFReturntoWork@hr.ufl.edu. For more information about UF Health Screen, Test & Protect, please visit https://coronavirus.ufhealth.org/screen-test-protect.
