Superior Accomplishment Awards Nomination Period

I am delighted to announce the call for nominations for the University of Florida’s Superior Accomplishment Awards. As we enter the 36th year of this prestigious program, coordinated by UF Human Resources, we seek to honor faculty and staff who exceed expectations and significantly contribute to the university’s mission and serve the broader community.

Nominations may be submitted now through Thursday, Oct. 10, via the online nomination form: https://uf.tfaforms.net/f/hr-saa-nomination

Each year, the UF community celebrates faculty and staff who have contributed exceptional service in their fields. Beginning this year, nominations will be based on contributions during the last fiscal year, which runs from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024.

Division-level winners of the Superior Accomplishment Awards will receive a cash prize, a certificate of appreciation and a university memento. Each division winner is then eligible for one of nine university-level cash awards or one of six special recognition cash awards, to be presented in April 2025.

Nominations are accepted for the following award types:

Employee Performance: This award reflects an individual’s contributions and noteworthy performance, with the work taking place during the last fiscal year.

Rookie of the Year: This award acknowledges newcomers who have excelled and positively impacted UF during their initial tenure. Eligible nominees must have been at UF for less than two years and successfully passed their probationary period.

Team Collaboration: This award celebrates teams of up to six members who have worked together to achieve significant outcomes for the institution.

Sustained Excellence: This award recognizes individuals whose exceptional performance and contributions have spanned a minimum of three years. Nominees should not have won a Superior Accomplishment Award in the past five years.
