CFO Division Announcement

Taylor Jantz, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

As many of you already know, next week we will welcome Michelle Castaline to the team as the Associate Vice President for Financial Services.

Michelle is a UF alum who has worked as a controller, finance lead, and senior internal audit manager in large Securities and Exchange Commission companies. Her previous role as Vice President Global Controller for Carrier Corporation included responsibilities for global accounting and the development of a worldwide Center of Excellence. Michelle brings more than 20 years of experience in financial reporting, building teams, and collaborating with key business partners to drive initiatives, reduce risk, standardize processes and programs, and promote automation to increase efficiency and effectiveness. She looks forward to returning her talents and energy to the Swamp, and I am thrilled to have her on our team.

Additionally, I am happy to share that Matt Ellis was recently promoted to Assistant Vice President and University Controller. Matt, also a UF alum, joined the University of Florida in 2016 and has held various positions in Finance and Accounting throughout the University, including Facilities Services, IFAS, and the Office of the CFO. Over the past 10 months, he assisted in leading the Finance and Accounting Division during the search for a new Controller.
