Please visit http://www.textadoption.ufl.edu to enter Summer and Fall 2025 adoptions. Please note that some fields in the textbook adoption system have been updated to streamline the submission of non-textbook and courseware related materials. Additionally, submissions for the Affordable UF badge may also now qualify for the ZTC (zero textbook cost) badge. More details are available are at the Center for Teaching Excellence website.
For compliance with Florida Statutes, please submit adoptions no later than the following:
- Summer 2025 adoptions: March 28, 2025.
- Fall 2025 adoptions: July 7, 2025.
Changes to Summer and Fall 2025 instructional materials adoptions made after the deadlines posted above are out of compliance with UF Regulation 7.049 and Florida Board of Governors Regulation 8.003.
In order to facilitate timely ordering of Summer materials by the UF Bookstore, please submit adoptions by March 14, 2025. For Fall materials, the preferred deadline is March 24, 2025.
Knowledge of course textbook and materials requirements helps students balance their course loads based on reading demands and financial needs – including the purchasing of books.
Timely entry of this information also provides students with the best opportunity to sell books back at higher prices. Bookstores typically will not offer to buy back texts unless the text is listed as being used the next semester.
Timely posting of textbook adoptions has the strong support of the student body, and it is a law in Florida Statutes. UF students continue to endorse the availability of textbook information online and have indicated it aids in course selection.
