New SUNCOM Dialing Plan

David S. O’Brien, Director Physical Plant Division

The SUNCOM Network must alter the dialing pattern for all its subscribers in order to maintain operability. On December 1, 1995, the new dialing plan will be implemented on SUNCOM. Calls to SUNCOM numbers (7 digits) will not change. Calls to Public Switched Network (NON-SUNCOM) numbers (10 digits) will require DIALING “1” prior to the number you are calling.

Remember, after you dial the SUNCOM access code, SUNCOM rates apply to either a 7-digit SUNCOM call or a regular 1-digit call.
