Administrative Change in Office of Research, Technology and Graduate Education

Winfred M. Phillips, Vice President for Research, Technology and Graduate Education

Effective July 1, 1999, the Office of Technology Licensing will report directly to Dr. Thomas E. Walsh, Director of Sponsored Research.

This change recognizes the close interface necessary between the Division of Sponsored Research and the Office of Technology Licensing as intellectual property issues are increasingly coupled to research agreements and related license agreements.

We believe that this change will more effectively serve our faculty and enhance University technology transfer endeavors.
