Changes to University Preferred Travel Agency Contract

John P. Kruczek, University Controller

Effective January 1, 2000 the University Contract with Preferred Travel Agencies has been modified to allow for the payment of a $10 service fee for each domestic, international ticket, or paper ticket purchased through University Preferred Travel Agencies. In addition, University Procedures have been modified to allow business travelers to make ticket purchases directly from airlines or on the Worldwide Web. Travelers should provide justification for these purchases, when seeking reimbursement for the ticket cost.

Several of the University Preferred Travel Agencies offer a Web-based ticketing system that will reduce or eliminate the service fee on airline travel tickets processed. All staff are encouraged to contact the University Preferred Travel Agency of their choice to see what options are available to avoid the $10 ticket service fee on domestic and international tickets.

Please contact the University Travel Office in Elmore Hall 392-1241 if you have additional questions.
