Custodial Review Committee

I have named Dr. Jim Scott, Vice President for Student Affairs, as chair of the new Custodial Review Committee. All segments of campus will be represented on this committee, which will monitor potential problems of the shift change and recommend improvements.

Members of the committee will be named shortly. It will include the following:

Custodial staff night shift workers; A graduate and undergraduate student; Representatives from the UF faculty Senate; The UF Personnel Director; Two faculty members, one with expertise in from industrial engineering or Business Management; A USPS representative; and An expert in health services.

Dug Jones, Assistant director, Physical Plant Division, will be ex-officio to the committee.

All aspects of the work environment are open for review and discussion by this group, which will meet on a regularly scheduled basis. The committee will report to me and to the Vice President for Administrative Affairs.
