New Veterans Counseling Service

Jim Scott, Vice President
Barbara Talmadge, University Registrar

We are pleased to announce a collaborative effort between the University of Florida and Santa Fe Community College (SFCC) which allows us to offer University of Florida students who are veterans comprehensive VA benefits counseling advisement. John Gebhardt, from the SFCC Veterans Affairs Office will be available in the Office of the University Registrar several hours each week. He is housed in 222 Criser Hall, Tuesdays through Thursdays, from 8:00a.m. through noon. He is here to provide advice and counsel to UF students about benefit issues relating to their veteran status. John will be assisted by students who are on V.A. College Work Study and, as a result, we expect the number of hours this service is provided will increase in the near future. Students can reach John and his staff by calling 392-1374, extension 7413. During normal office hours, when he is not present on the UF campus, John also can be reached at Santa Fe Community College at 395-5505.
