Strategic Planning Process and Committees

As many of you have heard me say in the weeks since I arrived at UF, together we will create a Strategic Plan that will guide and shape decision making across the University of Florida enterprise. This will be your plan to continue and advance the great work of this institution. 

I am excited to share that the process and committees to develop this plan have been assembled. This will include a university coordinating committee, along with select committees to focus on implementation and areas of distinct focus. 

The Coordinating Committee and the various processes will be led by Senior Vice President for Administration Chad Tindol. In addition to Tindol, the Coordinating Committee will include: 

Matthew Bravo, Student Body President 

Elias Eldayrie, SVP and Chief Information Officer 

Brian Hoh, Dean College of Medicine 

Raymond Issa, Chair of the Faculty Senate 

Nick Kozlov, SVP and Chief Financial Officer 

Bart Knowles, Chief of Police 

Colt Little, VP for Construction, Facilities & Real Estate 

Sarah Lynne, Chair of the Academic Planning Committee 

David Norton, VP for Research 

Mary Parker, VP for Enrollment Management and Chief Strategy Officer 

Heather White, VP for Student Life 

A select committee focused on implementation will communicate our plans to all constituents, including faculty, staff, government officials, alumni and other supporters, along with aligning our fundraising and advancement, and rolling out our plan statewide, including at our campus in Jacksonville. Implementation Committee members will include: 

Chuck Clemons, VP for Government Relations 

Melissa Curry, VP for Human Resources 

Kurt Dudas, VP for Strategic Initiatives 

Maria Martin, VP for Advancement 

Steve Orlando, Interim VP for Strategic Communications and Marketing 

Brandi Renton, VP for Business Affairs 

Finally, select committees will also be created to focus on three distinct areas of our mission: IFAS, to be chaired by Scott Angle; UF Health, to be chaired by Steve Motew; and Athletics, chaired by Scott Stricklin. 

There will be multiple opportunities for you to share your ideas, feedback and recommendations with the committees. A website is currently under development and will be maintained and updated to communicate with the campus at strategicplan.ufl.edu. In addition, we will be rolling out surveys, a listening schedule, and other methods to submit feedback. You can also email Strategic-Plan@ufl.edu anytime. 

This will be hard work but rewarding work. We are One UF.
