Procedures for Animal Use at UF

UF Departments have requested information on the procedures for animal use at UF.

Staff members of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) are available to assist with animal use protocol submissions, to provide guidance, and to answer any questions regarding rules and regulations.Faculty, staff and/or students involved with animal use for research or teaching should contact the IACUC administrative office if assistance is needed.

IACUC staff are available to attend department meetings to give a brief presentation or a question-and-answer session on IACUC’s function and animal use procedures at UF. Please call 392-9917 for more information about this service or to arrange an IACUC presentation for your department or unit.
