Delegation to Approve State-Funded Travel

In accordance with Senate Bill 004C, Section 15, limiting the use of state funds for state-employee travel until July 1, 2002, I hereby delegate to the Deans and Directors the authority to determine whether state-employee travel to foreign countries, other states, conferences, staff-training activities, or other administrative functions is critical to the University’s mission before approving such travel. I further delegate to the Deans and Directors the authority to consider teleconferencing and other forms of electronic communication to meet the needs of the proposed activity before approving any mission-critical travel.

This delegation is effective January 1, 2002 and supersedes all previous delegations of this authority for the described purposes.
