Winfred M. Phillips Vice President for Research and Dean of the Graduate School

The Office of Graduate Minority Programs (OGMP) announces the 2002 Florida Board of Education Program (formerly the Board of Regents program (BOR)) for newly accepted underrepresented minority students Summer ‘B’ 2002. The program offers these students a “jump start” to their graduate studies here at the University of Florida – including an introduction to library, computer, and research resources available to graduate students, an opportunity for independent graduate study in their areas of academic interest and a review of the research process.

If your department has identified newly admitted minority graduate students, please email their name, address, phone number and email address to the Coordinator of Recruitment and Retention, Denise Yates (dyates1@ufl.edu).

You will receive a flyer and application forms in campus mail announcing the Special Summer Orientation program activities.

Please feel free to call (or email) Ms. Yates at 392-8364 or the OGMP office at 392-6444, if you have any questions.

Best regards.
