E-Commerce Security and Management Policy

John P. Kruczek, University Controller

The purpose of this memorandum is to announce the establishment of the University Electronic Commerce Security and Management Policy. This policy is intended to ensure compliance with the requirements of all credit card companies and provide for the security of personal information related to credit card payments received via the Internet at the University of Florida.

All departments who presently accept credit card payments on the Internet must observe the University of Florida E-commerce Security and Management Policy . A link to this policy is also located on our Finance and Accounting web pages at: http://fa.ufl.edu/ufs/cashiers/ and http://fa.ufl.edu/uco/.

Departments planning to conduct E-commerce should complete the E-Commerce Business Plan Form and forward it to the University Cashier’s Office, University Financial Services in PO Box 114050 – S113 Criser Hall. The form template is available on the Finance and Accounting Forms page at http://fa.ufl.edu/forms/ in the “University Financial Services” section.

If you have questions or need additional information regarding this policy and procedures, please contact Stuart Hoskins, Associate Controller at 392-1321.
