Graduate Assistant Spring Semester Increases

In response to two grievances filed by the Graduate Assistants United-UFF, a settlement was reached by the Florida Board of Education, for the University of Florida, on 12/24/02 with the concurrence of the Provost and the Vice President for Research and Graduate Education.

The settlement agreement calls for the payment of a 2.5% pay raise effective December 20, 2002 or the start of the graduate assistant’s Spring Semester contract whichever is earliest, for all graduate assistants whose total FTE equals or exceeds .25 FTE in both the fall and spring semester and who were employed October 1, 2002 and did not receive a pay increase on October 1, 2002. These pay increases have been processed automatically in the personnel/payroll system for the payday of January 24, 2003.
