Key and Lock Policy

All buildings on the University of Florida campus should be locked except during normal work hours or scheduled classes to maintain security and safety to our buildings and their contents. The Director of the University Physical Plant Division has been charged with the responsibility of managing the Key and Lock Policy for the University of Florida. I ask all of you to comply with this policy.

The policy on Card Access Systems is currently under development and will be added once approved.

Since the policy requires an annual inventory in January of each year and this policy was not published until April 2003, the initial inventory will be performed in May/June 2003. The inventory for 2004 will occur in January.
