An April 10, 2003 DDD memo provided new draft text for Letters of Offer to incoming Alumni Fellows. The text contains an error, suggesting that an Alumni Fellow support package consists of one year of fellowship support and three years of graduate assistant support. The Alumni Fellow program was designed to provide four years of support. Colleges and departments have considerable leeway in determining the mix and order of fellowship, teaching assistantship and research assistantship assignments, although at least one academic year of assignment must be as a teaching assistant. This remains university policy.

A corrected sample letter can be found at http://www.aa.ufl.edu/fellows/alumni.html . Please discard the old text and use the new text, effective immediately. Any students who received a letter based on the incorrect text should be provided with a corrected version.
