Appointment of New Associate Controller

Please join me in welcoming Ms. Gloria Sheffield on her acceptance of the Associate Controller position in the Finance and Accounting Division. Her first day in this new job was September 2, 2003. She will be responsible for the departments of University Payrolls, Accounting Services, Disbursements Services, Travel, Tax Services, and University Property Services.

Ms. Sheffield’s experience includes: seventeen years on the staff of the State Auditor General including Gainesville Section Supervisor, Comptroller for Santa Fe Community College, and Internal Auditor and Finance Director for the St. Johns River Water Management District.

She is a graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in Business Administration. She is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Government Financial Manager, and is active in the American and Florida Institutes for Certified Public Accountants, the Institute of Internal Auditors as well as, Association of Government Accountants.
