The formal installation of Dr. J. Bernard Machen as the University of Florida’s 11th president is scheduled for Thursday and Friday, Sept. 9 and 10, 2004. The Presidential Installation Steering Committee has been formed, and the first meeting will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 22, in 202 Tigert.

The presidential installation is an inclusive celebration for the entire university community. We anticipate a number of events and symposia that highlight the university’s excellence and set the tone for Dr. Machen’s tenure. The Committee will solicit and entertain ideas from all campus constituents.
