Introduction of GatorJobs—UF’s New Applicant Tracking System

Starting on October 16, 2006, UF will begin to use a new applicant tracking system—called GatorJobs—for all vacant jobs and positions. Powered by PeopleAdmin, this system will replace e-Recruit and will be used to post job requisitions for staff and faculty, including OPS vacancies.

The new GatorJobs system provides several advantages for UF, including ease of posting job vacancies by department administrators (or originators), applying for jobs by interested applicants, and reviewing applications and resumes by hiring authorities.

Training will be required for originators of job requisitions in order to provide security to the GatorJobs applicant tracking system; employees who currently have related security will be contacted directly with additional details about that training. A tutorial also will be provided in early September for hiring authorities who are interested in learning more.

We look forward to launching this system to improve the process by which we manage job applications for university faculty and staff.
