Fall 2006 Commencement: Regalia Order Information and Deadline

Ceremonies: An advanced degrees ceremony (all colleges, all masters and doctoral candidates) will be held on Friday, December 15th at 2pm in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center. Two undergraduate degrees ceremonies will take place on Saturday, December 16th at 10am and 2pm also in the O’Connell Center. In addition, the College of Pharmacy will host a separate college ceremony on Saturday, December 16. The College of Law will host a separate ceremony on Friday, December 22. Ordering Regalia: The deadline for ordering academic regalia is Wednesday, October 25, 2006. Information on ordering regalia is available from the UF Bookstore (392-0194). An order form may be found at http://www.registrar.ufl.edu/commencement/ under the heading Instructions for Faculty. Payment is required when placing an order; this payment is refundable until Thursday, December 14. Formal academic regalia are required for all faculty members attending commencement.

Faculty Escorts: Candidates for the Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Education degrees will be assigned an official commencement escort. Faculty designated as escorts will receive letters from the Office of the Provost with further details about responsibilities and assembly times. This letter is generally sent two weeks prior to commencement. However, if you have a graduate student scheduled to graduate during the fall semester, please order your regalia on or before the October 25, 2006 deadline.
