It is our pleasure to announce that Mr. John Denny, Assistant Director in the Honors Program, has been appointed Interim Director of the Honors Program. He will oversee the operations of the Honors Program as we enhance undergraduate experience across campus.

John came to the University of Florida in 2001 as Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Disability Resources. He was instrumental in opening the Disability Resource Center at Reid Hall, the first-ever designated center for students with disabilities at the University of Florida. He joined the Honors Program as an Assistant Director in 2006. In addition to academic advising, John’s duties included serving as admissions liaison for the Honors Program, coordinating the Dual Enrollment Program and coordinating the Honors in Paris Program.

John Denny earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Florida in 1992. He earned his Master of Social Work degree from the University of South Florida. He is currently pursuing his Ph. D in Higher Education Administration.
