Academic Schedule for the first week of Spring semester 2009

Please remind faculty and staff to maintain scheduled classes during the first week of the Spring semester. The football team’s entry into the national championship competition will highlight the beginning of January, but the university will not cancel classes or otherwise modify the academic schedule because of this sports event.

The following is the list of critical academic dates at the beginning of January:

January 1:
New Year’s Day – an official university holiday

January 2:
An official university holiday in 2009

January 5:
Regular registration

January 6:
Regularly scheduled classes begin

January 7 through 9:
Regularly scheduled classes meet per official university schedule maintained by the Office of the Registrar

January 12:
Last day of Drop/Add
