Overhead Assessment

The Auxiliary Enterprises and Miscellaneous Gifts and Grants (MG&G) accounts have been charged an overhead assessment of 1.4% on all expenditures since 1994. The cost incurred by Administrative Affairs to support these functions continue to increase at a pace more rapid than the growth of the enterprises. The demand for additional services coupled with the requirements of external agencies has necessitated an increase in the overhead rate charge. The new rate, effective July 1, 1998, will be 2.0%. We are providing this information at this time so that you have an appropriate lead-time to prepare your 1998-99 budget.
