Announcing Michael Mahoney as Director of Research Operations and Services

The Office of Research is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Mahoney as Director of Research Operations and Services within the Office of Research.  As Director, Mr. Mahoney will be responsible for operational and facilities support for the institutional review boards,  Animal Care Service, ICBR, and other operations within the Office of Research portfolio.  He will assume many of the operational functions previously performed by M. Peter Pevonka, Associate Vice President for Research, who plans to retire from the University of Florida this spring after 44 years at the University.

Michael Mahoney has served as an Assistant Director for Research Programs and Services here at UF since 2009 with primary responsibility to support the IRB.  He received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Chicago in 1991.
