Summer 2014 Commencement Information

Ceremonies: This summer, there will be two (2) university-wide commencement ceremonies – a Doctoral Degree Ceremony (Friday, August 8th at 4:00pm) and a ceremony for Masters, Specialists, and Bachelor Degree candidates (Saturday, August 9th at 10:00am).  Both ceremonies will be held in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.  The College of Pharmacy has a separate ceremony on Saturday, August 9th at 10:00am in the HPNP Auditorium.  For additional information, please see the Commencement Website at http://www.registrar.ufl.edu/commencement/ under the heading Ceremonies Schedules.

Ordering Regalia:  The deadline for ordering academic regalia is Tuesday, July 1, 2014.  Information on ordering regalia is available from the UF Bookstore (392-0194).  An order form may be found at http://www.registrar.ufl.edu/commencement/ under the heading Instructions for Faculty Escorts.  Payment is required when placing an order.  Formal academic regalia is required for all faculty members attending commencement.

Faculty Escorts:  Candidates for the Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Education, and Doctor of Plant Medicine degrees will be assigned an official commencement escort.  Faculty designated as escorts will receive an e-mail from the Office of the President with further details about responsibilities, assembly times, and hooding instructions.  This e-mail is generally sent two weeks prior to commencement.  However, if you have a graduate student scheduled to graduate during the summer term, please order your regalia on or before the July 1st deadline.
