Call for Nominations – UF Foundation National Board
Danita D. Nias, Senior Associate Vice President, University of Florida Foundation, External Affairs
As you well know, the University of Florida has global academic aspirations and is striving to be considered one of the very best top public universities in the country. In a concerted effort to achieve this vision, it is critical that we build a national and international network of dedicated, passionate and engaged volunteers through the UF Foundation National Board. We do this knowing that when Gators work together, the promise of our university is truly limitless.
We welcome your recommendations to enhance membership on the UF Foundation National Board. Your nominations will be discussed by the Board Nominating Advisory Council on October 6, 2016, and submitted to the Executive Board for consideration and approval. When making recommendations, we ask that you consider the following:
- Diversity: geographic (out of state), ethnic, gender, background/expertise and college/unit affiliation.
- Willingness and interest to assist in the identification, cultivation and solicitation of major gift prospects.
- History of involvement with and support of the University of Florida.
- Agreement with the UFF National Board roles and responsibilities (see below).
Please submit recommendations by Friday, August 19, 2016 for review during the fall board meeting.
You may send your nominations to Marie Price, Operations Manager, by mail at P.O. Box 14425, Gainesville, FL 32604, or via email to mprice@uff.ufl.edu. Please include the name, address and telephone number of your nominee along with a brief biographical sketch (2-3 sentences are sufficient). If you would like to discuss potential board nominees, please feel free to call the External Affairs office at (352) 392-5401.
As always, we appreciate all you do for the University of Florida in our quest to be the best!
