I am pleased to announce the availability of TRRIPS – the web-based Travel Request and Reimbursement Information Processing System. The TRRIPS is ready for any office that would like to use this streamlined, paperless method of submitting Travel Authorization Requests (TARs), and Travel Reimbursement Vouchers (TVs). The system will currently handle domestic travel for students, faculty, and staff.

Currently, you may use Netscape(c) versions 3.0n, 4.01, or 4.03 to access TRRIPS. The TRRIPS is available from the same menu as Managing Your UF Money and you use the same UF-ID and PIN. If you have a UF-ID and PIN, you may prepare a TAR for yourself, but you must submit a security form in order to prepare TARs and TVs for others in your department, college, or division. Departmental authorities (e.g. deans, chairs, etc.) who will budget authorize the TARs also must complete the form. We recommend you request a copy of the form when you call to sign up for the training workshop.

I encourage your use of this new system and believe you will find that it is a quick and easy way to process travel requests and reimbursements. The training session is scheduled for June 10, 1998 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 361, J. Wayne Reitz Union. Only those who will prepare TARs and TVs are required to attend. Supervisors and budget authorizers are welcome as well, or they can be taught by department TAR & TV preparers. Please contact Tonji Herbert at 392-1241 to enroll in the workshop.
