Appointment of Kathy Jones as Associate Controller

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Kathy Jones to the position of Associate Controller for Contract and Grant Accounting. In this position she will be responsible for oversight of the Contract and Grant Office, Indirect Cost Studies, Annual Space Certification Study, and overall Compliance for Cost Accounting Standards. Kathy brings valuable experience to the Associate Controller position. Since 1986 she has been employed in the Finance and Accounting Division, first as a supervisor in Contract and Grant Accounting, followed by her promotion to Assistant Controllership for University Property Services. In 1994 her responsibilities were expanded to include oversight of the offices of University Disbursements and Travel Services.

Prior to her employment with the University of Florida, Kathy served on the audit staff of Davis Monk Associates, a local accounting firm, and Southeast Bank in Miami. Kathy’s educational and professional background includes: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Masters Degree in Management and MBA from the University of Miami. She also is a Certified Public Accountant with memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
