University of Florida/Coca-Cola Agreement
James B. Morgan, Director
The University of Florida recently amended and extended our agreement with Coca-Cola through August 15, 2005. The agreement now includes the University Athletic Association, Shands at the University of Florida, as well as the University. The University has benefited greatly from our relationship with Coca-Cola, which has allowed for the purchase of audio-visual equipment for classrooms, classroom upgrades, the web-based computer kiosks across campus, athletic equipment (including scoreboards) and more. We can expect additional improvements to the campus and its facilities as a result of our continued relationship with this key corporate partner.
This memorandum is just a reminder of the terms of this agreement and should be distributed throughout your unit.
Coca-Cola soft drink, juice, iced tea, and water products are the exclusive soft drink, juice, iced tea, and water products sold, served, or advertised at the University of Florida, with the exception of Gatorade and certain beverages sold by concessionaires such as Aramark and Canteen Corporation. The agreement covers activities at all UF facilities at the Gainesville campus, including Shands at UF and all UF athletic operations. All forms of soft drink sales and distribution are affected by the agreement, including but not limited to:
Vending machines | Campus eateries | UF sponsored, catered activities |
Bookstores |
Convenience stores |
Note: Fraternities and sororities are excluded from this agreement.
The following are examples of products sold, served, or vended at the University of Florida that are approved Coca-Cola products (including all diet and caffeine-free versions):
